Children under the age of 8 years are permitted to using the opposite sex changing rooms where a responsible person is unavailable to accompany the child in the same sex changing room.

Children aged 0-3 years must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 years or over on a ratio of 1 child to 1 adult.

Children aged 4-7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 years or over on a ratio of 2 children to 1 adult.

A responsible person aged 16 years or over should accompany all children under 8 years of age by entering the water. Whilst they are in the water, they should maintain a constant watch over the children whom they are responsible for and they should be in close contact with those of their children who are weak or non-swimmers.
